We offer generous discounts on all Cozy Cat Press books purchased in multiple quantities.  Being a very small company, we can't allow returns, but we make every attempt to work with bookstores to provide you with your desired number of copies at a reasonable wholesale price.

Libraries:

Authors: 

Starting December 11, 2023 we will NOT be accepting manuscripts from NEW authors until further notice—probably well into the new year of 2024. We are simply overwhelmed with submissions from new authors. When this policy changes, it will be announced HERE.

Our standard publication is the cozy mystery—a light, gentle mystery with little or no blood, violence or sex. We do NOT publish any other type of book. The main character of a cozy mystery is typically an amateur sleuth--not a professional. The story usually takes place in a small town. Often the main character has a cat or a dog. We LOVE stories with CATS in them.

We like manuscripts of about 50,000 to 70,000 words, and are looking primarily for books that are, or will be, part of a series. In your query letter, please set out a synopsis or outline for your entire series, as well as a synopsis or outline for the actual book submitted which should be the FIRST book in the series. We expect all authors to produce a series of at least THREE books. The series’ title should describe the series’ main character and/or his or her job, hobby, or location. We prefer more than just the main character’s name for the series title.

All of our books are published on Amazon only—in print and ebook formats. Authors receive royalties from all ebook sales.

We expect that all submitting authors are social media savvy. We expect authors to have their own author website and to post regularly on various social media sites.
