As Thanksgiving is all about expressing gratitude and thankfulness, I asked Cozy Cat Press authors and sleuths to share what they are thankful for. Here are their responses:

My family.

Midge Sumner is grateful she owns the local radio station and won’t let them play Christmas music until after Thanksgiving!

Mostly thankful for my family of 6 kids, 18 grandkids, and 10 great grandkids (Yes, I’m bragging a bit). Also thankful for this beautiful fall season of Thanksgiving.

Maggie Brown is thankful for her family of 3 kids, new piano studio and husband, Rob, who built the studio.

My home, job, writing talent, readers, cat, church, and good health.

Sandy Fairfax is thankful for his fiancée, rebooted career, kids, and the fact that he’s still alive after the killers he’s caught have tried to bump him off.

Noelle McNabb is thankful for her family, friends, and the opportunity to use her skills for the spy agency.

I’m so thankful for my big family, puppies, and good health.
— Linda Clayton, author of Julia Greene Travel Mysteries

Considering the amount of trouble that seems to follow her, Julie Greene is thankful she hasn’t been in prison – yet – and is still alive. For this she thanks her best friend, Olivia, and the main man in her life, Dirk. Olivia and Dirk are thankful for the same thing.

Good health, good hobbies, great spouse, and dogs.
— D.G. Gillespie, author of Mattew Diggerson Mysteries

Matthew Diggerson is thankful for the same things as his author – health, hobbies (like writing), his wife, and his dogs (past and present).

My wonderful children, their spouses and my grandson. My dear sister and brother and their families. The love and laughter in our lives.
— Lorrie Holmgren, author of Emily Swift Travel Mysteries

Emily Swift is thankful for her fiancée Jack and the opportunity to travel and learn about new places, their people, history, myths and stories, as part of her job as a travel writer.

I’m thankful Cozy Cat Press has given Josephine a place where she can experience the thrill of the quest and capture of fiendish bad guys and guilty girls. As long as there is a right and wrong, Josephine will be there to sort it out.
— Joyce Oroz, author of Josephine Stuart Mysteries

Josephine Stuart continues to be thankful for her little basset buddy, Solow. She loves David but is still thankful to be single.

I’m thankful for being on the Cozy Cat Press family tree and having them take a shine to my Shell Isle Mysteries. It’s been a pure joy every step of the way to work with Patricia.
— Tonya Penrose

Paige Wright and Betsy Ross are a cousin duo. Page is thankful that she’s still alive after eating Betsy’s cooking. Betsy is ever so thankful that Cozy Cat appreciates her recipes and insists they be included at the end of each book.

A fabulous husband and an amazing sister!

Essie Cobb is thankful for her wonderful friends at Happy Haven Retirement Home!

So many things: my husband, children, siblings, and extended family; the beautiful place where we live; our friends; that we have a roof over our head, food on the table, and health.
— Karen Shughart, author of Edmund DeCleryk Mysteries

Duo Edmund, the sleuth, and Annie, his wife, head of the local historical society and museum, are thankful for their family, friends, dog (Gretchen), and beautiful community where they live. That they are approaching retirement with no lack and lots of health.
