Christmas is the Season of Joy and Hope

As we near closer to Christmas, I’m reminded of all the holiday shopping, wrapping, cooking, and other preparations for Christmas Day. But we can’t forget that Christmas is the season of joy and hope. Here are a few Cozy Cat Press mysteries to get into the Christmas spirit.

In “A Slay Ride” by D. P. Hewitt, Libby Cord is in charge of organizing a Christmas market at the new Arts Center. The decorations in front would make Las Vegas feel embarrassed. To make things worse, a murder happens to an unloved victim making it somebody’s Christmas gift. Follow Libby as she solves the mystery by checking the book out here.

In “Papoosed” by Patricia Rockwell, Essie Cobb and her friends Marjorie, Opal, and Fay are in charge of caring for a missing kitchen coworker’s infant. They must hide and protect the baby and find his missing mother. She will do whatever it takes to manage and reunite a mother and child before Christmas. Follow Essie and her friends by checking the book out here.

In “The Notorious Noel Caper” by Sally Carpenter, Sandy Fairfax and his girlfriend, Cinnamon, come together for Christmas solving murders. Bodies drop like snowflakes at the soon-to-open Santa’s Magic Theme Park. At a celebrity bowling tournament a pinsetter drops a body instead of the pins. And Sandy deals with a difficult director as the emcee of the Miss North Pole beauty contest (scholarship pageant). Follow Sandy and Cinnamon as they make Christmas a wonderful time of the year by checking the book out here.

In “What Child Is This?” by Alice K. Boatwright, Ellie Kent looks forward to her first English village Christmas, but she is drawn away from the fireside to solve the mystery of a missing Oxford student and an abandoned baby. She also has to solve a murder when a body is discovered on Boxing Day. Hopefully she can celebrate the season with caroling, mistletoe, and mince pies soon. Follow Ellie by checking out the book here.

In “Who Murdered Mary Christmas?” by Joyce Oroz, Josephine Stuart solves the murder of Mary Milford, also known as Mary Christmas because of her Christmas decorations, as she fell off the Capitola cliffs into the Pacific Ocean. She and her friend, Alicia, are also working to create watercolor paintings to sell at the Aromas Christmas Art Festival. Teaming up with Mary’s sister, Marla, they catch a plane to Tijuana in search of the suspect. Follow Josephine as she focuses in on the suspect by checking the book out here.

Christmas is the season of joy and hope. No matter what you must do to prepare for Christmas Day, you can always count on family and friends to bring your spirits up. If you want to add fruitcake to your dessert pile, give this recipe a try. And go down memory lane with your experience of fruitcake. I hope everyone has a joyful Christmas and enjoys it with the ones they love!
