Summer Mysteries

What do you enjoy doing over the summer? For me, it’s the summer music being released. Other things to enjoy are the beach, summer fairs and events, and the heat means to bring on the water fun. Here are a few Cozy Cat summer mysteries to enjoy over summer.

In “Baubles To Die For” by Tonya Penrose, Page Wright enjoys her summer escape to her beloved cottage on Shell Isle with cousin Betsy Ross, but this holiday is anything but fun and relaxing. While savoring lunch at the Bistro, she observes a cryptic exchange between her neighbor Catherine Lange and a seedy-looking guy sitting a few feet away. The cousins witness subsequent sightings of Catherine making ominous threats to five people in their inner circle. Join the cousins on Shell Isle by checking the book out here.

In “Discreet in the Heat” by Allen B. Boyer, Bess Bullock adjusts to her new surroundings at Honey Hills Retirement Center by finding little mysteries to solve. First, a pickleball player whose personality seems to change with his sleeping habits. Second, a wayward diary with passages so disturbing it has her questioning the nature of her fellow residents. And finally the most challenging, missing diamonds and many suspects that she must consider in finding a culprit. Join Bess in the summer heat and help her solve the mysteries by checking the book out here.

In “It Takes Two To Strangle” by Stephen Kaminski, Damon Lassard helps his dear friend, Detective Gerry Sloman, solve a crime. The crime: the owner of a traveling carnival is strangled, not once but twice, on the opening night of the summer fair in Hollydale. The police surmise he was not well liked. Join Damon at the summer fair by checking the book out here.

In “Morning Mist and Murder” by Allen B. Boyer, August Summerfield is urged by his niece, Grace, to help with a case. The case: the discovery of a dead body disturbing the harmony of Mount Gretna. Join the community where artists and scholars come every summer to live and work in perfect harmony and help solve the case by checking the book out here.

Summer in cozy mysteries can be enjoyed no matter where it takes you. Whether it’s the beginning, middle, or end of summer, you can always enjoy a good cozy mystery. I hope you enjoy all the places each cozy mystery takes you. Have a fun, relaxing, and enjoyable summer!
